1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how BrowMap PMU ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of your clients whose faces may appear in the App's camera view.

3. Information We Collect
3.1 Face Data
The App's core function is to help permanent makeup artists map eyebrow symmetry on a client's face.
Collection, use, and disclosure: The App uses your device's camera and on-device face detection (via Apple's Vision framework) to display a live symmetry overlay in real time. This face detection happens entirely on-device and is used solely to position the overlay guides. It is never saved, stored, transmitted, or disclosed to us or anyone else. When you capture a photo during a mapping session, that photo may contain a client's face; it is used only to let you review the mapping result within the app during your session. We do not use face data for identification, biometric recognition, advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond this immediate, in-session display.
Sharing and retention: We do not share face data with any third party, and we do not retain any face data or photos on our servers — the app has no backend storage for photos. A captured photo exists only temporarily within the app for the duration of the mapping session and is automatically deleted from the app immediately after the session ends, unless you choose to save it to your device's own Camera Roll.
Deletion and revoking consent: Because no face data is transmitted to us or stored on any server, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. You can revoke the app's use of face data at any time by denying or removing camera access for the app in your device's iOS Settings, which prevents any further use of the camera or on-device face detection. If you save a photo to your Camera Roll, that copy is stored using standard iOS Photos functionality under your own device's control, not by BrowMap PMU — you can delete it at any time directly within the iOS Photos app, the same as any other photo on your device.
Third-party protection: This section does not apply, as BrowMap PMU does not share face data with any third party. No external party — including analytics, advertising, or cloud providers — receives, processes, or has access to face data collected by the app.
Your responsibility as the App user: You are responsible for obtaining your client's consent before photographing them, and for handling the resulting photos in line with applicable data protection law (GDPR/DSGVO).
3.2 Account Information
To use the App, you create an account. We collect your email address and basic profile information via Firebase Authentication. This is the only personal data stored on our systems.
3.3 Usage Data
We may collect anonymized technical data (device type, OS version, app crashes) to improve app stability, via Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics. This data does not include any photos or face data.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Provide and operate the App's core functionality (brow mapping, photo capture)
- Manage your account and login
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Improve the App's features over time
We do not sell your data to third parties. We never receive, store, or use client photos or face data for any purpose, including advertising, marketing, or AI training.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses Firebase (a Google service) for authentication and anonymized crash/usage reporting only. No photos or face data are processed by Firebase. Firebase may process account data on servers located in the EU/US, subject to Google's own privacy policy and standard contractual clauses for data transfers, available at: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
6. Data Storage and Security
Photos are stored exclusively on your device in your Photos library. Account data (email address) is stored in Firebase Authentication with encryption in transit and at rest. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your account data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
7. Client Consent
As a user of this App working with client photos, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your clients before photographing them for brow mapping purposes, in accordance with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR/DSGVO).
8. Data Retention
We do not retain any photos or face data. Your account data (email address) is retained until you delete your account (see Section 9). Photos saved to your device remain there until you delete them yourself.
9. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time directly within the App: go to Settings → Delete Account → confirm deletion. This permanently deletes your account and login credentials from our systems. This action cannot be undone. Photos already saved to your device's camera roll are not affected, as they are not stored by us.
10. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability

11. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for professional use by licensed permanent makeup artists and is not directed at children under 16.
12. Changes to This Policy
